Happy Half-Year Birthday!

My how time flies! Our little boy is now 6 months old. What a wonderful 6 months it has been!



To celebrate his birthday, we took him to a science museum:

Since Xavier was born, there is significantly more laughing, playing, singing, and dancing in our house. We have even been traveling and generally adventuring more. Our lives actually got more exciting and interesting with a baby.



We are also blessed with a happy and easy baby. From flying cross Atlantic, to camping, to riding in the car, and taking walks, he goes with the flow. People comment all the time at how easy going and snuggly he is. We love taking him out in public, because he seems so good at making people smile. It seems like that is his special job these days. Not that he is a "wet blanket." As Xavier gets older, he is starting to show his stubborn side. He will work very hard to do something like reach a toy. So hard, he starts to sweat! He is also quite a talker. Sitting through church with him is getting more difficult, since he likes to sing and pray, especially when it is the preist's turn. More than anything else, Xavier likes to go out in public to find new people to flirt with. His favorites are the grocery store and doctor's offices, where there are always plenty of friendly people.
